Taylor, Benjamin, Brookelyn & Austin

How do I get so lucky?? Seriously these kids are just too dang cute for their own good. Brookelyn was especially killing me with all her expressions and her total enjoyment from being in the spotlight…being the only girl will do that to ya! Be prepared for wayyyyy too many pictures. I just couldn’t narrow it down. They are all just so sweet!

Elektra

It’s been so long since I last posted that I almost forgot how to put one together! Things over here have been sooooo busy but it keeps me going and I feel so lucky that I am able to surround myself with these darling newborns and little kids and be able to keep a schedule that allows me to do this from home and still be there for my kids when they get home from school and the real insanity begins! I really need to be better with my blog, I used to post every session and I know it was so fun for my clients to see their pictures on here before they got their CD. It makes me kind of mad at myself for letting it slip through the cracks. Actually really mad! I am going to try to post more often, I just need a few more hours in the day…but then again who doesn’t??

Here’s Elektra, I can’t believe she’s already a year old. Her newborn session was one of my favorite ever, here’s the link. I added links for everything if I know where it’s from, just mouse over the name of the company.:)

Niina - I don´t think that a 1 year old could be more stunning! Her eyes are so expressive. I´m sure that her parents have had hard time choosing their favorite pictures among such beautiful images!

Summer Douglas - I remember her newborn pictures and oh. my. word. I can’t believe how big and drop-dead-gourgeous she has become! They are all so breathtaking, we could not stop staring at them, even thought the real thing is right next to us;) You truly know how to capture her real beauty, and such great expressions. We are so glad we had you take her pictures, they are the most amazing keepsakes that we will forever cherish! You are so talented! Thank you again! Shawn, Angie, and Elektra;)

Kristina - Love the photos! She is absolutely beautiful.

Maybe you could make a page on your website with information about props so you don’t have to keep putting in the links on each post. It could save you lots of time when blogging (which means all of us might get to see more blog posts!). :)

amber - Skye I just love your photography! Your subjects’ skin tones and bright eyes always blow me away. You are so good at what you do. :)

Julie - soooo cute, I love the hats

Katy - I just love, love your photography. I was wondering if you would be willing to share where you get a lot of your awesome canvas backdrops such as this one and also how or where you purchase the cute Photoshop doodles/brushes i see in your gallery photos at the top of the blog page. Love them and i cannot ever find ones as cute! Thanks for all your suggestions.

skye johansen - Hi Katy! Which background were you talking about? The chevron is from http://www.fabric.com and the artwork on my header images were drawn by my blog designer, her info is at the bottom of my blog. :) Thanks!

Patty - Skye, you inspire me sooooo much. I wish I lived near by to have you take my babies photos. I’m in California and a newbie and I have four boys in ages 15, 13, 5, and 10 months and a little girl age 3 who I would love to get photos like this of. If you don’t mind me asking, what lens do you use to get these insanely detailed, focused and uber sharp photos of them? How do you bring out so much detail in thier eyes, especially the iris? What settings did you use to get their entire body in focus? Thnaks for your time.

Patty - Skye,

Can I ask where you get your barnwood backdrops and floor drop from? I really love the backdrop and floor drop with the little boy wearing the cap. Thanks so much.
