Kai

I really didn’t expect little Kai to fall asleep since he was too busy cooing and smiling at his daddy, but he did and at 5 weeks old we were cheering for every sleepy shot we got. Quietly, of course….

Now try to absorb all of this baby’s cuteness. The hair, the extreme chubbiness, but most of all his sweet little lip. Next month he will be having surgery to close up the little gap, and I’m sure he will look very different. I’m so glad his mommy decided to bring him in and get some pictures of him just the way he was. I know she will cherish these pictures of him. What a sweetheart.

Five minutes around this baby boy and you will instantly be in love.

I was.

He is so sweet! I’m glad his mama decided to do these pics before surgery too. Tomorrow my little Finley will have her first eye muscle surgery. I know they do these surgeries to improve their appearance, but we love our beautiful babies just the way they are!

That is exactly what Tate looked like at birth! He had the same exact type of cleft lip. I was so sad when they fixed it, he didn’t look the same. Of course I was happy that it was fixed but he was different. So cute of course. you always do such a perfect job.

Oh my gosh Carly! I’m sure you are so nervous, that is scary to have surgery done on your own baby! Good luck with everything, I’ll be thinking about you!
Thanks for the comments everyone! Kai is the sweetest thing, he really is!

Thank you for sharing these photos. What a bright-eyed gem! I like the one in the green swaddling – seems to be smiling! Just wanna give him a big hug.
