Savannah

There are no words for how simply beautiful this six year old from Arizona is. With her mom being an amazing photographer, you would think she’d be so sick of having the camera in her face. But no, she was a natural, able to pull serious gazes or turn on an enormous smile in a second. I loved her. Her mom also brought the most adorable outfits ever. She asked if I would photograph Savannah and also talk photography with her, which normally I decline but after viewing her beautiful work, I knew it would be more fun than anything. And it was!!!! I loved meeting Holly, she is so sweet and we had a lot of fun. Plus we both had braces, so we were like twins. haha

WHAT?? How cute is she?? I bet you fell right off your chair.

Is it really fair that she has those blue eyes with thick black eyelashes? Really.

I can’t decide which one of these I like more. She’s equally cute serious or smiling.

Holly & Skye, what a gorgeous girl and beautiful photography! I am so excited to come for my session in September! Holly, if you don’t mind sharing, where did you get the cream outfit here at the bottom on the chair (lace dress with sweater cover-up that has a brooch, ivory flower hair accessories & jewelry?) I just love it all, especially this outfit! You gals are the queens! Thanks for sharing :)

Tasha - August 18, 2010 - 5:53 pm

D.I.V.I.N.E! Please, please tell us where you got the headband/clips in the last three photos.

Holly Brimhall - August 18, 2010 - 6:21 pm

Lacie, the navy dress with the flowers on it is from Target – juniors department. Crazy, I know. My little sister actually picked it out for her. We got the extra small, and even though Savannah is a skinny little beanpole, it actually fit her. It’s supposed to be a juniors shirt…but it works for a 6 year old dress :)

Rory, the lace dress was recently purchased at Dillards…but it was clearance. You MIGHT get lucky and still find one. It has a pale, pale pink layer of fabric underneath it. So, so pretty! The cardigan was purchased a good 6-8 months ago at Target. I made the brooch…maybe I’ll have to do a little tutorial on the blog…so cute and easy! I also made her cream flower and then bought her bracelet at Charlotte Russe – for $4 – and then cut it and remade it smaller to fit her.

Thanks again, Skye! It really was super, super fun to meet you! I felt like a mess after a week of “camping” at Aspen Grove…but hey, at least Savannah looked cute!

It’s already been said, but I couldn’t help commenting. OH MY GOSH GORGEOUS!!! Skye, just when I think you have outdone yourself you go and do it again. Really, it’s just not fair how incredible you are and how beautiful this girl is.

Amber Ellis - August 19, 2010 - 9:41 pm

This child should be a model. Seriously, she is stunning!

Holly Brimhall - August 20, 2010 - 7:18 am

Ali, let’s see. Her hair pieces – the HUGE maroon and cream flowers are from Forever 21. They were only like $6 and I absolutely LOVE them! Some of them I made. Well, I guess the rest of them I made…except the yellow one. Skye had that one in the studio.

The lime polka dot dress is from Target (I LOVE Target!!!…like a lot!). The orange/turquoise dress is from TJMaxx. Sometimes I find the cutest clothes there.

(Hi, Heather Bird!)
