I took Leila’s pictures when she was a newborn and I was excited to take some of her at two years old, but she had other plans. She would have nothing to do with me, or her new little brother. Good thing Conrad was such a good sport and let us get everything his mommy wanted! Aren’t they so beautiful?!
The one his mom wanted most….he wouldn’t do it without the blanket. Which of course isn’t completely unreasonable, considering it is a cold hard surface…..

She finally kissed him, but oh man, she was NOT happy about it.

lol at the last one! you can tell she was not doing it by choice! ah well, the memories are still there!
Awww all the smiles are so sweet! My faves are the football and airplane ones. You are so good at using props without the cheese factor. You are so talented!
Aaaaahhhhhh, those are so amazing! They bring tears, and laughter. So beautiful!
I am going to take some pic’s of a 6 week old soon (with a Nikon D90 and natural light). I have only a great fleecy blue blanket to use as a prop (well and maybe some test tubes and Mom & Dad are microbiologists)…. do you have any reccos to make this go well? It is VERY mosquitoe-y outside and their house has smaller windows covered by trees, I am so worried about the light. But it is a beautiful old house. Sadly, I don’t even have a speedlight to work with…. so I guess I will just do what I can. Our friends had their little boy a few weeks ago, and I asked if I could take a few pictures to practice… I hope I do an ok job!
Your pictures inspire me so! Thank you for posting.
Oh those baby smiles…what a cutie!! Glad to hear you have some trouble with 2 year olds at times too…you still got some great shots of her! The last one…TEARS OF LAUGHTER…too cute!
Do you remember when Homer Simpson kisses Hans Moleman’s head and he says, “It’s like kissing a peanut!” Yeah. That’s the expression on her face! So cute!
