We’re back!

We had so much fun in California! It was a TON of work, feeding, entertaining and packing around 9 kids under 10 years old, but it was all worth it. We are lucky that we can spend a week with Jeff and Monica in a two bedroom condo and have as much fun as we did.  I think the parents had more fun at Disneyland than the kids did, I went on the Screamin’ roller coaster three times in a row and only got queasy on the last drop. However my four year old nephew Zak put me to shame as he smiled and put his arms in the air on the Tower of Terror, while I curled up in a ball and said some bad words and vowed I would never ride that thing again. Ever. What a horrible ride. Anyways, we’re back to our crazy busy lives,  I spent most of yesterday answering 131 emails, unpacking, grocery shopping and of course shooting a session! Thank goodness for my awesome hubby who came home from work, did all the laundry (including putting it away, which I can’t ever seem to do) and putting the kids in bed. He is simply the best.

Here’s a couple of pictures at Huntington Beach, where we stayed. Of course now I wish I would have taken more pictures, but at the time I was having too much fun playing in the sand. Plus Ryan scared me about getting sand and water in my camera so it stayed tucked away most of the time!

The kids got a serious pep talk from Uncle Jeff about playing in the waves. Please note Maguire. Story of my life.

Saylor HATED the beach. She was so upset with the sand on her feet and when the water touched her she cried bloody murder. So she spent most of her time sitting on a chair, and she was completely content, what a funny girl.

At first we told the kids not to throw mud pies. That lasted about 15 minutes and then we just let them play.

This is Unfair! While you were livin it up in California, I was
stuck home with the swine flu and 3 sick kids! Seriously, what is the deal with that?
I love the pics, that looks like so much fun and your kids are totally adorable.

Loving procrastinating and reading old sessions of your blog! I think we live parallel lives…my husband folds and puts the laundry away, too, otherwise we’d be dusting it along with the furniture!!
