Okay, so maybe she’s not mine, but she’s ours. As in all my girlfriends. We have all been in love with Ruby from the moment Jess told us she was pregnant. After two darling boys, she had her fingers crossed for a little girl she could name Ruby. Well here she is and I don’t think it’s possible for her to be any cuter. Jess is such a dear friend of mine and I love her to pieces. Sometimes she stops by my house at night and steals me for a few hours, just when I’m really needing a little pick me up, or she’ll come pick up Maguire and take him to her house while I’m doing a shoot. She is an amazing friend and I am severely looking forward to our girls trip together next month.

So this bucket looks like a good size right? Well when most people see it, they are like, “is this the bucket you put babies in?? NO WAY!” It’s very very tiny, like 12 inches high. I don’t know if you can tell in this picture, but maybe.

I have a newborn shoot in the morning and will be posting the winners from Project 52 when I get finished. I can’t believe how many emails I got, I had no idea so many people were doing this with me. Thank you so much for all the encouraging (and way too nice!!!!) comments. It made me so proud to be a mom of these four amazing kids. I really don’t know what I did to deserve them all.

OH my heck these are the cutest newborn pictures you have ever done I think! You are amazing. Please pass on the Magical sleeping dust that you give these babies! I would blow every one of these up on my walls if they were mine! GORGE!
Awwww how darling is she! Lovely shots. And gosh, that bucket IS tinier than I would have imagined.
Oh my goodness! So lovable! I especially love the pink and green pom hat, got to get one!!
That little (huge!) crown is soooo stinkin adorable. And gosh those headbands!! You get the little ones from Only Poppy Rose on etsy? Love her stuff!
So cute! Love the peacock headband one and the one of her mom holding her in the bucket, it is way smaller than I thought is was! And you’ve even poked some pretty big babies in there huh?
Okay so if you get newborns to sleep every single time, how long are these sessions taking you? I have to know. When we took our baby to a photographer it was more than three hours and she fought until the end, we didn’t get one sleeping one of her.
SHE IS SO GORGEOUS! I swear I didn’t think newborns were beautiful until I found your website, now I can’t get over them! I just want to reach into my screen and squeeze her!
Maybe it’s my pregnancy hormones, but these pictures are making me want to book a flight to Utah and spend my last three months (or whenever the flying cutoff is) of pregnancy there just so you can take pics of my new baby… Is that insane?
Thanks Skye! You know I love you girl.
What a small world! I know Jess…she is cousins with one of my good friends from back home in Centerville. She is great! You probably don’t remember me either but I was your M.A. at Legacy ob when you had Saylor! Love you work!
I love the pink & green hat too! Can you share where you got it from? I love your pictures!
Jessica, she is BEAUTIFUL!! She fits in great with your cute boys!
p.s…. GIRLS TRIP??!!!! Where can I sign up?!!!!! Too much work, not enough play;)
Way cute props! And kids of course…
I just bought a cute monkey hat from polkadotposh – and she had her pictures linked to you. I LOVE your photography!! I just keep scrolling through it hoping that it never ends. I just love your newborn pictures- so sweet. I saw that you had a cute buggy – and while I was looking for cute hats for my little soon to be newborn – I found this picture.

I thought maybe it would be a cute idea for you – with your old fashioned stroller.
